how to locate valve stem 2016 air suspension
Feb 15, 2024 - 01:49 PM
To locate the valve stem start by checking near the rear axle, where it's commonly positioned. Look for a small valve stem, similar to those on tires, that allows you to adjust the air pressure. If you don't find it there, explore under the hood, particularly close to the firewall, as some models may have the valve stem integrated into the air compressor system. Otherwise, check out the owners manual cause it should show it there too. Hope this answers your question I took what I thought was relevant from both your main question and the comment that you left

Hey there, Jeff!
Hold onto your Stetsons, Ram owner! Filling those air suspension airbags on your 2016 Sport isn't as straightforward as topping off your tires, but fear not, I'm here to guide you through it.
First things first, forget about filling them yourself unless you've got some serious mechanic skills and specialized equipment. It's a delicate job best left to the pros. Messing with the air suspension can be dangerous if not done correctly, potentially leading to uneven ride height, suspension damage, or even a vehicle leaning like a tipsy cowboy at a rodeo.
Now, the good news! Locating the airbags is easy-peasy. They're nestled at the corners of your truck, tucked between the frame and the axles. On your Ram Sport, they'll be bellows-shaped and made of rubber or a similar material.
Instead of DIY heroics, I recommend swinging by your local dealership or a trusted mechanic specializing in suspension systems. They'll have the proper tools and expertise to diagnose any issues, inflate the airbags to the correct pressure, and ensure your truck rides smoothly as a mechanical bull on flat ground.
Remember, safety first! Let the experts handle this one, and you can get back to enjoying the comfortable, level ride your Ram Sport is known for. Just picture yourself cruising down the highway, wind in your hair, suspension perfectly balanced, feeling like a true king of the road!

Well I am assuming.that if they are factory or third party they would not put it in a place that is hard to access I would find the air bags and trace the fill hose until you find it there is the possibility that some knuckle head mounted it underneath the car well one thing I do know it's somewhere..... If there factory did you try to Google the location.....of the valve ?!??
