I have a 1994 Dodge Dakota with the 5.2 L engine. Where ie the oil pressure sending unit. NOT next to the distrib!
I seem to have lost all indications of oil pressure in my 1994 Dodge Dakota with the 318 engine. It reads about 30psi even when it's not running! And never varies. I have been unable to locate the sending unit which is supposed to be next to the distributer. Any suggestions??

Although it should be near the oil filter, it might not be directly next to the distributor. Look for a small cylindrical component threaded into the engine block with a wire attached

Hi there,
The oil pressure-sending unit is located on the engine block near the oil filter. The oil filter is located on the front or driver's side of the engine, on the engine block. Please refer to a vehicle-specific service repair manual or a DIY online video-sharing website with car parts installation and identification tutorials (e.g., YouTube/Dailymotion). I hope this helps!
