First thing check your fuses and and relay if that's good then check your fuel pump if you know someone with a power probe have them to check it with that but most likely it's your fuel pump

Go to your fuel rail under the hood.there should be what looks like a valve stem cover. Take it off have while someone is trying to start your truck push the pin in center BECARFUL and have something there cause if your fuel pump is good fuel will come spraying out fast. But iif If it trickles out then deff a fuel pump try that after you have checked your fuses and relays.

This is most likely due to an issue with the fuel system. Not only can it be your fuel pump but also a numerous amount of components that have to do with the fuel. Such as a clogged fuel filter, clogged injectors or purge valve canister. Could also be an electrical issue such as a blown relay/fuse or ECM signal malfunction. I would suggest starting with the more cheaper issue such as replacing the fuel filter if you haven't done so already. And working your way up to the more expensive components. Also if you drive your truck occasionally until it's empty and ready to run out of gas you risk forcing the fuel pump to pump debris into your whole fuel assembly clogging essential components to function improperly thus leading to an occasional crank and start but in the long run the truck will just not crank over whatsoever. My diagnosis will be your fuel pump but replace the fuel filter if you haven't done so already. Could possibly be the difference in time and money. Hope I explained it well good luck.

Hi there,
First, you can start to check for blown-out fuses or faulty relays of the starter, alternator, and battery. The most common issue that causes this problem includes a bad starter solenoid, discharged battery, corroded/loose battery terminal connectors, and other electrical system issues. We have a very helpful resource blog from our website CarParts.com. Please click this link for more vital information which covers this problem you are experiencing. I hope this helps!
