Yes, a faulty wheel speed sensor can cause issues with the 4x4 system

Absolutely will. If it has auto 4wd it uses wheel speed to determine if wheels are slipping to engage 4wd.

It will also cause dash lights to come on i have experienced this in my 2005 titan last winter and lost my 4 wheel in the deepest snowfall we had last year

Hey there, Buck!
A faulty wheel speed sensor can indeed mess with your 4x4 engagement on a 2011 Nissan Titan. The 4x4 system relies on input from these sensors to figure out what each wheel is up to. If one of them goes haywire, it can throw a wrench in the works and prevent the 4x4 from kicking in. So, if you're having trouble getting that 4x4 to engage, give those wheel speed sensors a good once-over. They might just be the sneaky culprits causing the headache.

Good luck getting that Titan back in action!
