can you tell where the hissing sound is coming from, sometimes when you get a crank no start issue, even though the engine doesn't start it still will pull in air and pump fluids, and the hissing maybe just air or fluid leaking out of back to where it was pumped from, need to have a helper listen or crank it and see next time it happens

Hey there!
The hissing sound you're hearing could be a clue. It might be pointing towards a fuel pressure issue or a leak. When you crank it the first time, the fuel system might not be pressurized properly, causing a hiccup.
Start by checking the fuel system for leaks or any loose connections. It's also worth looking into the fuel pressure regulator. If it's acting up, you might get inconsistent pressure, leading to your starting issues.
Now, about the starter solenoid, it usually doesn't make a hissing sound. It's more into clicks and clunks. Still, it's a good idea to inspect the electrical connections around the starter and battery just to be thorough.
Lastly, a failing crankshaft position sensor could also play a role. If it's on the fritz, the engine might not be getting the right signals for a smooth start.
Give these areas a once-over, and if nothing jumps out at you, it might be worth getting a professional opinion. Sometimes, these intermittent issues need a keen eye and some diagnostic tools to pinpoint.
Here's to nipping that hissing hiccup in the bud and getting your Fiesta firing up smoothly every time!
