On the 2016 Honda Accord with a push-button start system, there appears to be some confusion among owners regarding a hidden key slot for starting the vehicle.
One claim suggested that popping out the push-button start could expose a hidden key slot, allowing the car to be started with the physical key in emergency situations where the fob is not functional.
However, this has been contradicted by other users and sources, stating that there is no hidden ignition key slot for starting the car.

No there is no place to put the Key. However if the Fob battery is very low power or almost dead place it close to the engine push start button and press start. You are essentially reducing the Bluetooth range.
Check the dash for the key symbol to see if the key is communicating

Hi there,
As of our research. In general, there is no hidden spot on a 2016 Honda Accord to start the car with no key fob. Honda uses a push-button start system and the key fob must be detected by the system to enable it to start. It provides security authentication for the engine to fully start. There is no way to hotwire or bypass its ignition system. Honda designed it to be dependent on the key fob to prevent theft. Please contact Honda service dealership so they can help you address the problem. I hope this helps!
