1. **Coolant Level**: Low coolant level can prevent the heater core from getting enough hot coolant to heat the cabin. Ensure the coolant level is correct and there aren't any leaks.
2. **Thermostat**: A malfunctioning thermostat can prevent the engine from reaching its proper operating temperature, which can affect the heater function.
3. **Heater Core**: A clogged or damaged heater core can prevent hot coolant from circulating through it, which in turn prevents the blower motor from blowing hot air into the cabin.
4. **Blend Door Actuator**: The blend door actuator determines the mix of hot and cold air. If it's malfunctioning, it may not be moving properly to allow hot air into the cabin.
5. **HVAC Control Module**: This controls various aspects of the HVAC system. If it's malfunctioning, it can lead to incorrect venting or temperature settings.
6. **Mode Door Actuator**: This controls the flow of air to different vents (face, floor, defrost). If it's faulty, it can prevent air from being directed to the desired vents.
7. **Blower Motor or Resistor**: If these are failing, they can affect the speed and efficiency of the airflow.
Given your description (cold air even when set to heat and only one vent setting works), I would suspect issues with both the blend door actuator (for temperature) and the mode door actuator (for vent selection). However, it's essential to perform a thorough diagnostic to identify the exact cause or causes.
It would be a good idea to get your Trailblazer checked by a qualified mechanic who can test these components and determine the exact problem.

- U have a sensor out for your heat change that if that's not it then u need to get new wire harness for it

Hi there,
There are several possible reasons the heater does not work, and at the same time the vents are not working in the front, not the floor vents or the defrost setting. Here are the few causes:
1. Faulty blend door actuator. It is an actuator motor that controls the position of the blend door, which regulates the flow of hot and cold air into the cabin. If it is defective, it will not be able to open the blend door to allow hot air to flow into the cabin.
2. Defective Heater core. A malfunctioning heater core would impede the flow of hot coolant, which results to insufficient heat production.
3. A bad Thermostat. A defective one can cause the engine not to reach the operating temperature, which leads to less heat generated for the cabin.
4.A defective HVAC control module. A bad HVAC module would cause malfunction in the airflow distribution, which causes issues with the vent settings.
I hope this helps!
