Replacing my driver side cv axle on my v6 1996 camry, but i pulled out axle for a 4 cylinder.
Axle Assembly
I have a 1996 Toyota Camry that is 6 cylinders according to vehicles spec using a vin decoder. I'm trying to find the correct replacement for the front driver side cv axle assembly, what I pulled out looks like an axle assembly for a 4 cylinder. When searching for one for a 6 cylinder, all that i find are completely different and won't fit, what do I do?

Hi there,
The axle assemblies for the four and 6-cylinder engines of a 1996 Toyota Camry are different. The four-cylinder axle will not fit the one for a six-cylinder Toyota Camry. The same goes for the 6-cylinder axle to be used on a 4-cylinder Camry. There is a possibility your car is a Japan-made model, and there are parts that were changed in the conversion process (from right-hand drive to left-hand drive). Please provide the VIN of your car for us to double-check what correct axle assembly you need.
