There are several reasons why the door lock and the key fob do not function. Check these potential causes:
1. Defective door lock actuator for that particular door (front driver side).
2. A blown-out fuse or relay for the door locks (especially if all doors are not working).
3. A temporary workaround is to use the physical key to open the door. If it does not have a door lock cylinder, the door panel has to be opened, and the lock is manually actuated to "unlock position."

Will the key fob unlock any of your other doors? If it won't, then it's highly likely that your door lock actuator is your problem. Even if other doors are still unlocking with the key fob and your key in the door, it's still likely that your driver-side door lock actuator is bad, and this will eventually activate your car's security system and no doors will regularly unlock. I recommend keeping your window rolled down on your passenger side until you can get the part and get it installed. YouTube is a good resource for installation instructions.
