Hello John.
The clunking noise on the right front CV axle after replacing the left front CV axle could be caused by a few different issues. It is possible that the new left front CV axle is defective and causing the noise. It is also possible that the noise is not related to the CV axles at all and could be caused by a different issue, such as a worn-out throw-out bearing or a problem with the main drive shaft.
It is possible that the replacement CV axles were not installed correctly or that there is another issue with the vehicle causing the noise.
If you are not comfortable troubleshooting the problem yourself, I recommend that you take your car to a qualified mechanic to have it diagnosed and repaired.
You may need some parts in the process, click this link to be directed to our website where your vehicle information has already been entered. Simply enter the part's name into the search field to get started.
We hope this helps. Have a nice day.
