Here are some potential reasons for this problem:
1. A defective fuel pump or too clogged fuel filter.
2. Ignition system issues. A bad ignition module, defective ignition coils, and bad spark plugs.
3. Electrical issues. Check the battery for corroded terminals, loose battery wiring terminal, and a weak/drained battery.
4. A defective starter. A failing starter motor will work intermittently, causing starting problems. It may work after the engine cools down.

Possibly vapor lock fuel injection might be giving to much or not enough gas

It sounds to me like a vapor lock! I had a van at one time did this and it was a vapor lock!
