Hi there,
If the fuel door on your 2012 Infiniti QX56 is not opening, check this few steps to troubleshoot the problem:
1. Check the fuel door release lever. The lever is located usually of the side of the driver seat facing the door side. The cable might have detached.
2. Activate the release button. Many modern vehicles have the electronic release button, which is located on the driver side door or dashboard. Press this button to see if it triggers the fuel door to open.
3. Manually release the fuel door lock at the trunk area. The fuel door should be accessible from the cargo truck. Please check the car's owner's manual to see if there is a way to release the fuel door from the trunk area.
4. Inspect for obstructions. Check for stuck debris or other things that may prevent the fuel door release cable from functioning properly.
I hope this helps!
