It could be a bad booster. Or the vacuum going to it has become disconnected. Is the break pedal really hard? And is it still hooked up? If so you need a break booster.

Hello there.
The brake booster is a critical component of a vehicle's braking system that assists in applying brake force by using the vacuum created by the engine. If the brake booster is not working properly, it can lead to reduced braking performance, increased effort required to press the brake pedal or other braking issues.
Check for a vacuum leak, failed check valve, brake booster diaphragm damage, faulty vacuum pump, brake fluid contamination, and faulty master cylinder.
If you're experiencing issues with your brake booster not working, we strongly recommend having the vehicle inspected by a qualified mechanic for real-time diagnosis and determining what part needs replacement/s.
Once you've identified which part needs to be replaced, click this link to be directed to our website and enter the vehicle information, followed by the part name. Our system will display available parts for your vehicle.
We hope this helps. Have a nice day!
