The a/c hose might of popped off. Open the hood and check air hoses.

Hi there,
The issue is likely the ventilation system's mode door or the vacuum system that controls it. Here are possible sources of the problem:
1. Mode door actuator (blend door actuator). This actuator controls the airflow to different vents (defrost, dash, floor, etc.). If it gets stuck, it will default to the defrost mode.
2. Vacuum system. If there is a leak or a vacuum hose is damaged, it will cause the mode door to default to the defrost position.
3. Mode selector switch. If the switch is faulty it may prevent air from being directed to the other vents.
Check this link for more helpful info.
I hope this helps!

With no heat coming out the defrost, I'd check your heater core. A cheap check is, turn the heat on and check the heater hoses and see if they are both warm. If they are, probably a blend door.

This is frequently problem with blend door actuator ,it will change back to vent when you come to a stop turn ac off then on and as you accellerate it will switch back to defroster,u probably had something fall in the vent at some point and maybe damaged or broken gear teeth on the accuator, good luck hope this helps.

Your duct work came apart somewhere in the dash you need to find it it is a 97 remember 30 years old I have a 97 crown Vic and little things like this begin to happen it might be a weak worn out fan or even a problem with the buttons or sliding knobs that open and close the vents you know the thing on dash that controls where the air goes
