Most likely it's your lower control arms

The first and cheapest thing to check out and replace is your sway bar links

When I experienced that it was my wheel bearings... Check it out with an experienced mechanic. Because it also could be what the previous answers are. Lift one tire and make it move to see what moves with it. If only the tire, it's the bearings...

You might need new shocks.

Hi there, Experiencing steering skipping over bumps while driving indicates few/some potential problems with the steering or suspension components. See as follows: 1. Loose or damaged steering parts. Possible bad parts are tie rods, ball joints, faulty steering rack, and loose sway bar links. 2. Worn-out or defective suspension components. Possible bad struts, shocks, control arms, and bushings. 3. Tire issues such as worn-out rear or front tires. A low-pressure tire could also be the issue, especially while driving at the speed you indicated (30 to 70 MPH). I hope those details help!

Most likely it's a control arm or suspension problem. All connected parts must be checked or replaced.

All above answers are excellent, and could be one or multiple items stated t be worn out. Look at your struts and see if there is any fluid running down the shaft of them, need to be replaced if so. Bad shocks/struts will definitely give you the "skipping" feeling.

Sway bar, control arm, or if you have had your alignment done recently you might want to make sure they bolted everything back in/on correctly.
