You should always use recommended additives to your engine oil, ATF meaning automatic transmission fluid is used by your transmission to sequence gears it is not nearly as good of a lubricant as the recommended oil additives.

Hi there, No. It is not advisable to do so. ATF (automatic transmission fluid) is formulated to be used for automatic transmissions and has different properties compared to an engine oil. ATF is not designed to lubricate the internal components of the engine properly. It will not provide adeqaute lubrication and cooling to the engine's internal parts. Please use the recommended engine oil for your vehicle, which is noted in the vehicle's owner's manual.
