You may need a new pcv valve. Often times they'll start going bad without throwing any codes. Plus it's a cheap fix.

How many miles and what kind of driving conditions? Towing in the hot Nevada desert or high mountains is a lot harder on your vehicle than straight line flat driving in Nebraska for example. Most likely bad rings or a leak somewhere in the system, or both. Oil and filter changes are critical, as is keeping an eye on your oil level. Improper or inadequate oil lubrication can lead to premature ring and bearing failure.

This could burn oil for a possibility of reasons, to start this cloud be due to the fact that when the original car was bought thot wasn't broken in properly, some other reasons could be that your engine is running a little to hot and is burning oil, one way to fix this is by checking for cooling leakages and oil spills along your engine.
