Hi there,
The battery icon lighting up on your Dash indicates a charging issue. Either the alternator is not generating enough voltage to charge the battery, or the battery itself is defective already (bad battery cells). For more info from our CarParts knowledge database, please click here. I hope this helps!

Before you assume the worst, pop your hood and look at the battery connections very carefully. Is there a thinning fragile cable connection that may have broken off? Use a multimeter to test your battery from its posts, then test from your cables.
If those read the same and the battery is good, then move on to bigger possibilities, and if those aren't things you know how to tackle, then I'd turn to a shop. But learning to use a basic multi meter, $7 from harbor freight, can save you some money. New terminals are cheap and watch you tube in how to cut and connect new ends or get the tool free style terminals.
