The ignition switch doesnt control fire that would be your ignition coil. You may have only 1-2 gone bad usually they go out like this 1 or two at a time. You can buy the entire pack for your vehicle here best rate as far as stores. Theyre easy to replace the spark plugs are within coils. Also believe it or not if your battery is too small or weak it can reduce the firing power and this may not show on a computer it didnt my wives Dodge Journey and this was an issue once with hers both the ignition cools and later battery gabegave same symptoms! Hello, Phchristensen.
Yes, a faulty ignition switch can result in a no-start condition in a 1988 Chrysler LeBaron, in which the engine cranks but does not start or fire. However, there may be other causes why the engine does not crank. Here are some of them:
1) Ignition coils 2) Spark plugs 3) Starter motor 4) Starter solenoid 5) Fuel delivery 6) Battery 7) Electrical and 8) Timing issues.
We suggest having the vehicle checked by a certified mechanic for real-time diagnosis to pinpoint the cause of the problem.
Once you've identified which part needs to be replaced, click this link to be directed to our website where your vehicle information has already been entered. Simply enter the part's name into the search field to get started.
We hope this helps. Have a nice day!
