If the bolt is bottoming out before the knock sensor is tight, it's possible you may have the wrong size bolt or that the thread pitch of the bolt is incorrect. It's important to use the correct size and pitch of bolt specified in your car's service manual to ensure proper fit and function.
If you're certain you have the correct bolt, and it is still not tightening properly, you may want to try adding a washer to the bolt to increase its length and allow it to properly tighten the knock sensor. Alternatively, you could try using a thread chaser to clean the threads on both the bolt and the sensor to ensure that they're not obstructed by any debris or damage.
If you're unsure about how to proceed or if you're not confident in your ability to do the repair, it may be best to consult with a professional mechanic or bring your car to a local repair shop for assistance.

For bolts I generally go to my local auto parts store and give the m the vehicle information and they find me the perfect fitting bolts. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
