Hey Chuck! If your 2004 T-Bird's battery is draining after 4 to 5 days of not using it, it's likely you have a parasitic draw issue.
Parasitic draw is the continuous consumption of battery power by certain electrical components, even when the car is turned off. This can happen due to a malfunctioning module, a faulty relay, or a faulty switch.
To solve the issue, you'll need to have a mechanic diagnose the cause of the parasitic draw. They will be able to use a multimeter to measure the amount of current being drawn from the battery when the car is turned off. This will help identify which electrical component is causing the problem.
Once the faulty component is identified, it'll need repair or replacement. This may require some electrical troubleshooting, which can be a complex and time-consuming process. Therefore, it's best to have a trained mechanic diagnose the issue to ensure everything is done correctly.
In the meantime, you can prevent the battery from draining by disconnecting the negative battery cable when the car is not in use for an extended period. This will prevent any parasitic draw and ensure that the battery stays charged.

this is a bad problem the first thing you need to do is remove the alternator take it to advance auto ask them to check it to see if the diodes are bad in it a common problem with ford replace the alternator if bad if it is not bad don't take it to a dealer find an auto electrical repair shop in your area the dealer will only send it to them then you pay both
