i been change the engine oil faithfully every 2000 miles including oil filter

Sounds to me like you have an issue in your valve train. Especially considering the fact it goes away after the motor warms, sounds like you have a lifter or valve sticking slightly. I would take the valve covers off and run the valves a few cycles, if you're prepared to undertake such a task. YouTube can be a great resource for the shade tree mechanic, like me.

Could be a lot of things as stated above.. if you notice a decrease in speed and bad fuel mileage..sounds like a lifter, rocker arm issues...put some oil stabilizer in and see if it helps.

Any knocking is not good my best guess without hearing the knocking would be a bad crank or if your lucky bad cam bearings the latter is still bad just not as bad the reason it goes away is everything expands when engine heats up which takes away the knocking and it is getting oil on it now knocking is never good I don't think you mean the knocking you get from bad gas or low octane knock that usually don't go away have it checked and I feel ya man I just had a Toyota RAV4 that Broke a piston rod at as 160 thousand then it hit the spark plug putting a hole the size of a quarter in it sometimes things happen I babied that thing too ,which for s Toyota is unheard of I see the same engine being sold for 2 grand with 2 hundred thousand miles
