Hi there,
If the positives and negatives are switched, the battery will try to compensate and make the negative 12 volts into a positive charge resulting in a huge surge of power and an enormous amount of heat to be produced. This would fry some other parts of the vehicle. It would be best to consult with your trusted local auto repair shop if all the other functionality is now inoperable. I hope this helps.

I'm so sorry. I watched a parts clerk switched the cables. That persons car had no power afterwards. She came in to have her battery charged. He didnt out of the car, then crossed the wires. t can happen to any human. It can fry electronics.
