Hi there!
There are three key wires to an alternator loop: a positive wire for the battery, a sensing wire for voltage, and an igniting wire. The ignition input wire is linked to the engine. The energy detection cable monitors voltage and transmits it to the converter, while the energy wire links the alternator to the engine. We advise checking the wires, connectors, relays, and fuses.
We hope this helps. Contact us again if there is anything else we can do to assist you. Have a great day!

I Had this problem with a 2001 PT. Changed the battery and alternator. It ended being a bad battery cable/connector. Check cables and connectors cleaning and tightening connectors as you go. They may not seem loose at first but I found one that had just enough play that it lost connection as soon as I hit the ignition.
