I recently bought a replacement turn signal switch which now isn't working. Before if you hit the steering wheel

Is it the switch or something else? It worked for a couple of weeks then quit. Everything else works.

Hello!

What is the year, make, and model of your vehicle? On some models, the steering wheel and/or airbag clock spring play a part in the turn signal function, but I'll verify the installation instructions and wiring information once I know your year, make, and model.

Hello!

1. Access the multifunction switch and check for power out of the multifunction switch on a Red/White (R/W) wire with the key in the Run position.
2. If there is no power on the R/W wire, verify input on a White/Red (W/R) wire from fuse 29 (15 amp) of the instrument panel fuse box and that power is present on a Black/Yellow (BK/Y) wire from fuse 15 (10 amp) of the instrument panel fuse box with the key in the Run position.
3. If power input is OK but there is no output on the R/W, check the connection of the multifunction switch before replacing it.
4. If there is power output on the R/W wire, check for a power input from the flasher unit on a Light Blue (LB) wire with the key in the Run position.
5. If there is no power input on the LB wire, replace the flasher unit located under the driver side of the instrument panel forward of the fuse box and Generic Electronic Module (GEM).
6. If there is power present on the LB wire, again check the connection of the multifunction switch before replacing it.
