Hello!
I would check the all the keys you have on the driver door as well as the glove box to see if we can isolate a bad key or a bad door lock cylinder. It's possible that someone has replaced the door lock cylinder with one from another vehicle, or it's possible that the valet key is simply the wrong one for the vehicle. Either way, a locksmith or your local dealership should be able to create or order the proper parts for you.

It's not supposed to. It's also not supposed to open the glove or trunk.
