Hello!
The fuel tank must be removed in order to replace the fuel pump. Once you remove the exhaust, EVAP canister, vent pipes, electrical connector, and filler filler tube, the fuel tank can be lowered. Then, you will disconnect the fuel lines and use a J-45722 wrench to loosen the lock ring.
