Hello! It sounds like you may have a failing shift solenoid, but automatic transmissions are notoriously difficult to diagnose, so I would recommend taking it to a specialist that can provide you with a list of parts needed.

Your model of the Acura tends to have transmission problems. I almost bought one once years ago and when researching the car found out that bad transmission problems are common. I would guess that could likely be the problem in your situation. Chances are if that's your problem it will only get worse and worse. How far out here worse depends on your driving style. This is where ie would look first for the root cause of your troubles. Good luck
