On my 2008 Infiniti M45 V8 must I change the valve covers as well as the gaskets?

I have been told I cannot change the gaskets only but must replace the valve covers as well. What is your opinion?

Hi. You can just replace the gasket. Make sure the seals are also replaced. If not, they are guaranteed to go next. If any other components are connected to the valve cover in any way, you should replace those seals and grommets as well.
