Dodge 2000 Durango SLT 5.9L - crank no start. Cranks run for 2-3 days no issues. Park next morning no start.
Starts next day or later. Runs fine. Stops again. Crank, cam, sensors, coil and fuel pump have been replaced. First, check engine light would come on, next no dash lights at all, now lights not starting though turning over. New battery also. Mentioned a code P0320 latest along with distributor trouble possible in this model.

I'd start with the battery cables. If you have a new battery already, clean the connection and make sure they are on properly. Then if that's ok, check the ground wires to make sure they are grounded. The code said crank position sensor is the probable cause but make sure power is right first, then check the power to the sensor if it has power. It should work if it has power. If it doesn't work, change it : the other sensor is the cam shaft position, which should be tested as well. But my original guess is cables because of the no dash lights. Occasionally it could be just a loose connection or broken wire on one of those 2 sensors.

Hi! Since you have already tried replacing some of the most common parts that cause your symptoms, the next thing I would do is refer to a repair manual for wiring diagrams and test procedures that might help you narrow down the cause. You might also find this article useful.

Hi, To fix code P0320, you'll need to replace the crankshaft and camshaft position sensors, (again), diagnose and repair any low battery voltage conditions, and check the crankshaft and camshaft position sensor wirings or broken, shorted, or corroded connectors.
We currently do not have in stock the camshaft position sensor compatible with the 2000 Dodge Durango SLT 8 Cyl 5.9L
We have the crankshaft position sensor available. But, there are fit notes to be considered as the engine VIN of the vehicle. Use the link below to check the options we have available. Thank you for reaching out. Have a good one.
